Care Instructions
How to take care of your custom apparel
All of the printing inks, design products, and decoration methods we use have been tested on all the garments we offer and have successfully held up to 50+ wash/dry cycles.
However, to maximize the lifespan of your garments and graphics, and to help keep your custom apparel looking brand new and vibrant, follow these essential care guidelines:
the DO's:
- If using a washing machine, use the delicate/gentle washing cycle and a mild detergent.
- Turn the garment inside out to protect the design/decoration from contacting other clothes or the machine.
- Wash in cold water. Hot water can weaken the adhesion of the ink/design with the garment and/or peel or crack the design/ink prematurely.
- Dry properly. Hang dry is always preferred, to help prevent shrinkage and exposure to excessive heat. If you must use a machine, tumble dry on low or no heat.
the DON'Ts:
- No bleach. Harsh chemicals can ruin the vibrancy and integrity of both the design/decoration and the garment.
- No fabric softeners. Softeners can leave a chemical residue that erodes the adhesion between the design and the garment.
- Do not dry clean. Professional dry cleaners often use harsh chemicals and excessive heat that can dissolve the ink(s) and/or the adhesion between the design and the garment.
- Do not iron directly on the graphic. Applying heat directly to the graphic could reactivate the adhesive and cause it to smear or peel. If you must iron your garment, turn it inside out and/or use a cover sheet/teflon sheet over the design.
